+ Best location in Saigon-right near the biggest market in Vietnam
The best location in Saigon-a 2 minute walk to Ben Thanh market-which has to be the best market in Vietnam. This market has the best prices and the best range to in all of the country! The hotel has very friendly staff and very nice rooms. We had a twin room with an extra bed and whilst there was not much extra room, the beds were very comfy and we were never in our room apart from to sleep! Very large bathroom and provided with lots of nice toiletries. Breakfast was AMAZING, I had read reveiws saying the breakfast was average...well I don't know where this person eats normally-but he/she has gotta be outta their minds! They had the biggest buffet I have ever seen, hot food, cold salads, Vietnamese, Chinese, omlette station, fresh juice...you get the picture (oh and the best pastries-why we ate these at breakfast I don't know but they were there! The lemon tarts are to die for!!!) Whilst there are cheaper hotels in Saigon of the same standard-if you are booking thru a travel agent in your country the Liberty Central is a great choice and I don't beleive you will be dissapointed.
+ Can't be better!
my wife found this hotel on TA or with a lead from TA late last year... i am looking out of our 11th floor room as i write... What can I say---everything is perfect.... our particular room is quite small but we have a discounted rate... The restaurant is moderate in price and good... the breakfast quite nice and fresh... staff could not be nicer... the king bed is the most comfortable we have had in vn... there is no tub but the shower room is nice... the small pool looks inviting on its roof top perch---floor 12... this is a true botique hotel---3+*...
talk about its location... perfect, imo...
+ Good Central !
My first visit to Vietnam so picked a more expensive hotel to be safe. Complimentary pick up from airport included which saved me hassles as I had a late inbound flight. Hotel exceeded my expectations as it had all the facilities you would pay outside (free internet etc). Room was not big but exactly what I expected from an Asian hotel. Breakfast was good with both local and western selections.
One major downside was the poor service from concierge. I had to beg once to get some help on a tour as they tried to convince me the tour was not available (had seen it on the internet). Few times the taxi they got for me dropped me off at locations I had not asked for and far away.
Word of warning. If you get sick, they send you to a western medical centre that charges USD $150 plus medication costs (even for something simple). Haven’t been to a place that charges so much and they could not direct me to something cheaper. I did have travel insurance but chose a pharmacy around the corner for some interim cold medication. Several blocks nearby with plenty of things to discover by just walking around.
Would definitely stay here again (but keeping clear of the concierge for any credible help).
+ Friendly, comfortable and happy with service !
We were placed on level 10, back of the building, nice view of the square. The hotel very clean and housekeeping staff always say good morning. Always a good sign. The front lobby staff pleasant and helpful. The breakfast average, however, staff accomodating to your needs. Location is good and easy to find your away around the streets
+ Excellent Hotel, Friendly Staff, Clean rooms !
We stayed at the Liberty Central after reading so many great reviews on tripadvisor. Well all i can say is that it was definetly one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. The staff were excellent while you may have to repeat yourself a couple of time as engligh understandibly is not their first language.
We had originally booked the lead-in room here which was clean, average size, very firm bed and not the best view as it looked directly out to a construction site. We decided on the 2nd night to upgrade to a preium room which was well worth the extra $60 per night. The Premium room was much larger and had a nice view of the street below.
Overall the facilities at the hotel were good, we enjoyed the roof top pool but could only stay in in for about 20 minutes as its not heated. The restaurant on level 1 was good, it had a great selection of buffet style food for breakfast and the staff were ver attentive.
The concierge at the hotel was very helpful with ordering us taxis, recommending places to visit and restaurants to eat at as well as making reservations. I do recommend that if you do stay here to always carry a hotel business card with you as getting back to the hotel may be difficult due to the lack of english by the taxi drivers (we usually just told them to take us to Benh Tang Markets as it is right outside the hotel)
Overall as an international travel consultant here in Australia i would happily recommend this hotels to all my clients young, old and with families.
